SCHOTTEL is to equip a Multi-Purpose Support Ship (MPSS) for the Portuguese Navy with two EcoPeller SRE 560 and one TransverseThruster STT 3 FP.

SCHOTTEL has been awarded a significant contract to supply two EcoPeller SRE 560 and one TransverseThruster STT 3 FP for a Multi-Purpose Support Ship (MPSS) for the Portuguese Navy. External experts confirm high propulsion efficiency of the SCHOTTEL SRP-D

The increased performance of the SCHOTTEL RudderPropeller Dynamic SRP-D has once again been confirmed by external sources. At the request of the Dutch Damen Group, the Maritime Research Institute Netherlands (MARIN) carried out extensive research to demonstrate the added value of the SRP-D for Commissioning Service Operation Vessels (CSOV).

The results obtained show a significant increase in thrust yield as well as reduced forbidden zones with the SRP-D compared to conventional rudder propellers.

SCHOTTEL to supply Polish MIECZNIK-class multi-role frigates with transverse thrusters

The total investment amounts to 5 million euros (approximately 5.5 million USD).

SCHOTTEL to supply components to 27 Waterways Commerce Cutters for U.S. Coast Guard

SCHOTTEL has been selected by Birdon America, Inc. to supply components to 27 vessels of the U.S. Coast Guard Waterways Commerce Cutter (WCC) Program with rudder propellers type SRP 210. For this programme, U.S. Coast Guard prime contractor Birdon America, Inc. is designing the cutters and is expected to construct sixteen River Buoy Tenders (WLR) and eleven Inland Construction Tenders (WLIC). The cutters will be built at Birdon’s recently acquired Bayou La Batre shipyard in Alabama. Up to four cutters are expected to be delivered annually over the course of the next eight years, gradually replacing the aging vessels.

Saltchuk Marine’s fleet renewal with SCHOTTEL

German propulsion expert SCHOTTEL has been awarded an order to supply azimuthing thrusters for four new escort tugs for Seattle-based Saltchuk Marine. The contractual partner is Eastern Shipbuilding in Panama City, USA. With the decision in favor of SCHOTTEL propulsion systems, these four new escort tugs will be the first vessels to mark the beginning of the renewal of the Saltchuk fleet for operations on the US West Coast, Hawaii, and Alaska.

World’s first autonomous, battery-electric ferries propelled by SCHOTTEL

A series of four zero-emission and autonomous ferries to be built by Turkish Tersan shipyard for Norwegian ferry operator Fjord1 will be propelled by SCHOTTEL EcoPellers. The double-ended vessels will be the first of their kind in the world. Norwegian HAV Design will deliver the ship design and an engineering package.
