In simple terms, a vessel’s propulsion system consists of two parts. The upper gearbox is located in the engine room, the propeller and nacelle are under water. Maximum tightness applies at the point of intersection, requiring incredible precision. Even with an 80-tonne giant, we work in the thousandth of a millimetre range.
In the same vein, we train our junior recruits with an equal degree of precision, painstaking care and passion. Whether you decide to pursue a commercial or a technical career, you will benefit from excellent, industry-recognised training that will set you up for “Industry 4.0”.
